This proposed network falls under Pillar 4 of the Global Soil Partnership (GSP) Action Plan, which focuses on “enhancing the quantity and quality of soil data and information: data collection (generation), analysis, validation, reporting, monitoring and integration with other disciplines”. The network will contribute towards the GSP strategy of ‘Building the global system to monitor and forecast the condition of the Earth's soil resources'.
