The UN Economic Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is organising this two-day meeting on 'Big Data and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: Achieving the Development Goals in Asia and the Pacific Region'. The meeting will bring together data science and technology experts from governments, civil society, the private sector and academia who are initiating or promoting the use of Big Data for sustainable development policy development, implementation and assessment in the region. Participants also will take part in facilitated discussions and breakout groups to gather comments and recommendations for an ESCAP report currently being produced on big data and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
