Under the theme “Mind-Boggling Ideas for a New Energy Culture,” the Energy Cities Annual Rendezvous will bring together mayors from around the world to discuss, among others, the cultural roots that determine the use and management of energy, and the transition of energy in cities. The expected outcome, “30 strategies for the energy transition of cities,” will aim to inform discussions at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20) to be held in June 2012.
