Eighth Meeting of the National Focal Points for Policy Coherence for Development

The Eighth Meeting of the National Focal Points for Policy Coherence for Development (PCD), organized by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), will focus on the Open Working Group (OWG) on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed SDGs. The meeting will discuss how to define, monitor and assess policy coherence for sustainable development (PCSD) in the post-2015 agenda. It will seek to identify the challenges and objectives for policy coherence cutting across the 17 SDGs and explore options for making the proposed SDG targets on policy and institutional coherence operational. The analysis will be applied concretely to two specific areas: international trade; and illicit financial flows. The meeting will also allow for an exchange of experiences among representatives from governments, international organizations, civil society and the private sector on actions in capitals to align national policy coherence efforts to the post-2015 framework. The meeting aims to contribute to the intergovernmental deliberations in the run up to the Post-2015 Summit. A live web stream of the meeting will be available.
