The Economic Community Of West African States' (ECOWAS) Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) is hosting this event as part of the ECOWAS Renewable Energy Investment and Business Initiative. It will feature presentations of the ECREEE Investment and Business Promotion Programme, priority projects in the 2013 project pipeline, the ECOWREX Investment Marketplace, and the Midterm Strategy for Renewable Energy Investments in the ECOWAS region. High-level dialogues will also take place between policy makers and practitioners on regulatory environments and on opportunities and challenges for renewable energy and energy efficiency technology deployment in West Africa. The week is being organized in collaboration with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the Regional Collaboration Centre of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC-RCC), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the West African Development Bank (BOAD).
