The Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is organizing a five-day workshop on small hydropower, in cooperation with the Energy Sector Management Assistance Programme (ESMAP), the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Government of Liberia. The workshop will focus attention on the ECOWAS Scale-Up Programme for Small Hydro Power (SHP), including a two day technical meeting to endorse the SHP project document and a three-day capacity building seminar on SHP project development.
