In accordance with UN General Assembly resolution 68/1, the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) will hold a humanitarian affairs segment from 23-25 June 2014. The Council will also hold a special event to discuss the transition from relief to development, to be convened immediately preceding the humanitarian affairs segment and following the annual session of the executive boards of the funds and programmes of the United Nations system.
