E-Discussion on Localizing the Post 2015 Agenda

This online discussion focuses on issues related to the localization of the post-2015 agenda, with the aim of identifying solutions at the local level and enhancing the importance of the local dimension in development. It further aims to bring together a broad range of stakeholders on a variety of topics related to the localization of the post-2015 agenda and to provide an online space for sharing practical experiences, lessons learned, ideas and solutions on the localization of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) agenda. The e-discussion will also consider current challenges to implementation and the need to identify mechanisms, tools, innovations, platforms, processes and other means of implementation (MOI) to translate the agenda into practice at the local level. The e-discussion will contribute to informing the final report of the consultation on localizing the Post-2015 agenda. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT), on behalf of the United Nations Development Group (UNDG), and the Global Task Force of Local and Regional Governments serve as the consultation co-leaders.
