This event is organized by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in partnership with the National Business Initiative (NBI). It is the fifth global business day in the context of the UNFCCC negotiations, and is being organized under the theme “Keep moving – Climate, business and growth for all.” Participants will engage in panel discussions on: why a Durban deal is relevant for business; climate finance; climate adaptation; and why solutions to climate need to be driven by business. The afternoon discussions will focus on the challenges for South Africa in responding to climate change.
