The 'Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) and Development Cooperation: donor's perspective and assessment tools' training course aims to enhance knowledge on climate finance and CSA objectives. The course further aims to improve capacities to appraise the climate change mitigation potential of Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) projects and programmes using the FAO EX-Ante Carbon balance Tool (EX-ACT). Participants will also learn about: CSA concepts and techniques; CSA's role in global food security and climate change scenarios; the climate finance architecture; ways to link the carbon balance appraisal with CSA and carbon funding; and opportunities for climate-related fundraising. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and ETIFOR – Forests, Ideas, Responsibility are organizing the training course.
