This three-day meeting, organized by the Presidency of the 20th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 20) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), will engage Peruvian stakeholder group leaders with representatives of the nine UNFCCC observer constituencies, and the Peruvian UNFCCC negotiations team. Taking place in plenaries open to the public and closed round table settings, the event will: offer information on the role and positions of the different UNFCCC observer constituencies and principal observer organizations; build ties at different levels; and allow for a direct contact between Peruvian constituency representatives and global peers for increased preparedness for COP 20.
