Connecting the Dots: Science, the IPCC and the Policy Picture

This UNCSD side event will bring together senior UN officials, Bureau members of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), authors and government representatives will discuss: the role of IPCC assessments for policy-making; the IPCC as an example for science-policy dialogue; and the findings of recent special reports on managing extreme climate events and disasters (SREX) and on renewable energy sources and climate mitigation (SRREN). The event is organized by IPCC, in collaboration with the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
