Conference and Exhibition on Agricultural Biotechnology in Africa: Fostering Innovation

This conference, organized by the Institute for Science and Sustainable Development (ISSD), will address the role of biotechnologies in the transformation of African economies. It aims to: provide a sound scientific knowledge base on issues related to technology transfer and capacity building; identify more efficient ways and means of building capacity and developing sustainable and useful institutions; present lessons learned and identify success factors regarding biotechnology, knowledge transfer and capacity building; and serve as a forum for cross-sectoral and multidisciplinary dialogue between scientists and policy makers on issues related to development, use and application of biotechnology. The exhibition will feature international and local biotechnology companies and provide opportunities to network and exchange ideas relating to the promotion of biotechnology for Africa.
