This conference will highlight the links between population health and the status of global biodiversity, and will focus on three key areas: emerging infectious diseases – integrating biodiversity conservation and management into disease prevention and control programmes; food resources, diet and nutrition – meeting food security, health and poverty challenges with dietary diversity; and disaster prevention, relief and recovery – harnessing ecosystem services in prevention, recovery and redevelopment programmes.
