Climate Week NYC 2023 will focus on the theme, ‘We Can. We Will’. The theme reflects determination, focus, and a hopeful promise for action. The Week aims to provide a platform for showcasing leading climate action and discussing how to do more, fast.
The annual event is hosted by the Climate Group and New York City and takes place in conjunction with the UN General Assembly (UNGA). During the week, the Climate Group will host a main programme of in-person events, including an opening ceremony and The Hub Live.
The opening ceremony will tackle questions related to: identifying where to channel investment and what vested interests to hold accountable for action; ensuring that commitments to boost green technology and energy security are implemented; and using the collective will of the climate community to remain inspired and continue to drive climate action.
Additionally, the Week will feature over 400 events spread across ten themes, in New York and around the world, as part of the wider Climate Week NYC events programme.
