The Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) is an international partnership of countries highly vulnerable to a warming planet. The Forum serves as a South-South cooperation platform for participating governments to act together to deal with global climate change. Leaders and Senior Officials of the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) will meet in the Philippines in a series of events concluding the Philippine presidency of the body, which commenced in January 2015. Ethiopia will assume the Forum's Chair on 15 August 2016, at the conclusion of a High Level Policy Forum at the Philippine Senate. Other activities will include: an Inaugural Seminar and Lectures, of the newly-created CVF South-South Centre of excellence for climate information and services to be based in Philippines; and a Seminar, titled “Climate Diplomacy, Leadership and Negotiations,” from 11-14 August 2016, which will focus on enhancing the capacity of the CVF to collaborate and advance the collective agenda of countries highly vulnerable to climate change at international and domestic levels. The High Level Policy Forum will be hosted by the Philippine Senate and the Climate Change Commission of the Philippines.
