This Master Class, organized by the Climate Investment Funds (CIF), will discuss barriers and opportunities to mitigating the impacts from wind power projects on birds and bats. The first part of the Master Class will entail case study presentation of Egypt, Turkey and South Africa, which are based on scoping missions performed by the CIF Administrative Unit and key stakeholders. The second part will consist of a knowledge mapping exercise aimed to share experiences, identify best practices, and learn from other cases. This panel discussion will consist of representatives from the Ethiopian and US governments, and BirdLife International.
