The workshop will gather key stakeholders from the region to demonstrate the use of the POPRC handbook for compiling information needed by the Committee and explain its process. The objective is to improve understanding and to enhance participation by Parties and stakeholders in the work of the Committee, especially during the information collection process. Furthermore, past and current members of the Committee from the region will participate in the workshop in order to exchange experiences. The outcome of the workshop will be reported to the COP-4, scheduled to meet from 4-8 May 2009, in Geneva.
