ASTRA Network, in partnership with the Eastern European Alliance for Reproductive Choice, is organizing this consultation on health. Twenty experts from Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia will meet to discuss the role of health in the post-2015 agenda, with a focus on improving health status in the region and empowering women through access to health services, including reproductive and sexual health. The workshop aims to develop a consensus among participants about the position of health in the post-2015 agenda, and to propose goals, targets and indicators on health, as well as approaches for implementation, measurement and monitoring. The UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the World Health Organization (WHO) serve as co-leaders of the Global Consultation on health, with the support of the Governments of Botswana and Sweden.
