Organized under the auspices of the International Year of Soils (IYS) 2015, this conference aims to raise public awareness of the central importance of soils, both in the maintenance of healthy food production for future generations and as the world's largest carbon bank and a potential regulator of climate change. The conference is co-organized by a consortium of organizations, including the Save Our Soils Initiative, International Foundation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) and WWF.
