The Commission for Environmental Cooperation's (CEC) Joint Public Advisory Committee (JPAC) will hold a public forum addressing hazardous wastes and potentially harmful chemicals that are crossing North America’s borders. The forum will discuss some of the work already being done, including the CEC’s “Taking Stock Online” cross-border transfers database and mapping tool, and a new hazardous waste and recyclable materials tracking system developed by enforcement officials in the CEC's three member countries (Canada, Mexico, US). JPAC is charged with getting public input on, and providing recommendations for, the CEC Council on the implementation of the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation (NAAEC).
