Organized by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), this workshop will focus on the preparation of the fifth national reports under the CBD, including: assessing the status and trends of, and threats to, biodiversity; implementation of national biodiversity strategies and action plans and biodiversity mainstreaming; and assessing progress towards the Aichi biodiversity targets and relevant 2015 targets of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), including the pilot online reporting system to monitor progress on implementation.
