Organized by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in collaboration with the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and its implementing agencies, UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and UN Development Programme (UNDP), this global workshop targets primarily the GEF Enabling Activity (EA) project coordinators. It will comprise a number of parallel modules on themes focused on aspects of planning and development of national biodiversity strategies and action plans (NBSAPs) that have been identified as the most in need of technical support, including: biodiversity information management; strategic target setting; mainstreaming; and resource mobilization.
