The Organization of America States' (OAS) Department of Sustainable Development, as the executing agency for the Sustainable Energy Capacity Building Initiative (SECBI) under the framework of the Energy and Climate of the Americas (ECPA), is hosting a one-day workshop for the Caribbean on the topic 'Sustainable Energy Project Development: Experience, Strategies and Implementation'. The workshop is intended to bring together senior government energy officials with development partners and field experts to discuss experiences of past and current support for energy project and policy development in the region, as well as to identify specific country requests for assistance to address challenges to sustainable energy project development, and together with development partners to identify areas for synchronization.
