The aim of this conference is to examine Canada’s role in a global green economy by: taking stock of Canada’s efforts to build a low-carbon, green economy; providing a cross-cutting view of the challenges that Canada and other nations face in the context of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio +20); and identifying leading practices, solutions and challenges in transitioning to a green economy.
