This symposium will be held during the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20) and is being organized by the International Institute for Sustainable Development’s (IISD’s) Global Subsidies Initiative and the Government of Switzerland. The event aims to provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss the political barriers to fossil-fuel subsidy reform and how these can be overcome.
