Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW) will combine global perspectives with local action by bringing international thought leaders to inspire and engage local stakeholders ahead of 2024 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 29). The event will showcase climate solutions from public institutions, academia, and the private sector and launch a national climate conversation.
The event will take place after Climate Action Weeks in Bonn (Germany), London, (UK), and New York (US), and marks a key step in the 2024 climate calendar. The event will demonstrate Azerbaijan’s commitment towards national green transformation and regional and global leadership for a successful COP 29.
The event will feature a two-day high-level Conference, thematic roundtables, seminars, ideathons, and music, arts, and cultural events. The Week will focus on a number of themes, including energy, infrastructure, the built environment, food and agriculture, methane, super-pollutants, health, water, finance, science and technology, transport, cities, education, and arts and culture.
