The objective of this conference to set an agenda that brings about greater opportunities for sustainable development in the future. This will be achieved by: promoting the sustainable development success stories presented at the conference; strengthening the partnership between policy makers and practitioners; developing practical steps and toolkits; gaining sign-up to and presentation of a Charter before the Heads of State meeting on 2 September.
