This meeting of Forestry Ministers from member economies of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) convenes in Cusco, Peru. The First Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Forestry took place in Beijing, China, from 6-7 September 2011. The first meeting released the 'Beijing Statement on Forests and Forestry,' which affirmed existing forest-related agreements and international processes such as the UN Forum on Forests (UNFF), and aspired to strengthen cooperation and coordination among APEC economies on forest policies and management, including trade in sustainable forest products.
