Africa Adaptation Programme (AAP) Peer Evaluation and Planning Meeting

20 African countries building resilience to climate change, as part of the Africa Adaptation Programme (AAP), will meet in Dakar to share lessons on climate adaptation, build capacity, agree on priorities for the AAP workplan for 2011, and accelerate progress to make their countries more resilient to climate change. Since 2008, the AAP – a flagship programme of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with UNIDO, UNICEF and WFP under the Japan-UNDP Joint Framework for Building Partnership to Address Climate Change – is helping 20 countries in Africa to develop their capacity to design and implement climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction programmes that are aligned with their national development priorities.
