This side event will be held during the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20) and is being co-organized by Avoided Deforestation Partners. It will showcase important pathways to slow, halt and reverse deforestation in the context of sustainable development, and highlight the role of public-private partnerships in this regard. the event will also highlight recent commitments made by major corporate leaders to require their agricultural supply chains to be both sustainable and free of deforestation before the end of this decade.
