This meeting is being co-sponsored by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the US Government, and the Alliance for Responsible Atmospheric Policy. Conference supporters are the European Commission and the Climate and Clean Air Coalition. The event will bring together industry, policymakers, environmental organizations, and academia to share information and expertise on various alternatives and approaches to ensure that the phase-out of CFCs and HCFCs is done in such as way as to limit the climate contribution of high global warming potential (GWP) materials.
