The Expert Group Meeting (EGM) organized by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) will examine: existing institutional frameworks, legislation and policies with provisions on socioeconomic considerations; capacity-building activities related to biosafety and socioeconomic considerations; existing expertise and experience; and other policy initiatives concerning social and economic impact assessments. The event was scheduled for 28 October-1 November, but it is no longer taking place.
