The Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization (ABS) will be opened for signature by parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) beginning on 2 February 2011, for one year, at UN Headquarters in New York. The signing ceremony will take place in conjunction with the launch of the International Year on Forests.
