The Eighth Annual Forum of Developing Country Investment Negotiators will discuss challenges and opportunities related to inclusive growth and sustainable development, with the aim of assisting developing countries to develop solutions, build on lessons learned and strengthen South-South cooperation on investment policy. This forum will also examine the role of industrial policy and performance requirements in supporting sustainable development and how international investment agreements may constrain these policies.The forum offers an opportunity for developing countries to discuss and develop negotiating priorities and goals related to investment-related negotiations. The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), the Government of Liberia and the South Centre are hosting the annual platform.
