The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Executive Board supervises the Kyoto Protocol's CDM under the authority and guidance of the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP), and is fully accountable to the CMP. It is also the point of contact for CDM project participants for the registration of projects and the issuance of Certified Emission Reductions (CERs).
