The 6th Austrian World Summit 2022 will focus on the theme, ‘Creating Hope – Inspiring Action.’ The Summit marks the 30th anniversary of the 1992 UN Conference on Environment and Development and aims to send a strong signal to the world, that there is hope for peace and a sustainable future, that we need more common action, and that together we can succeed.
The Austrian World Summit is the centerpiece of the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative and is hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger, with Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen traditionally taking over the honorary patronage of the event. The Summit provides a platform to showcase concrete solutions and actions and to connect people, businesses, and climate leaders. It will feature discussions on the transformation of the economy and opportunities through digitalization, successful climate communication, climate-friendly food production, and inspiring climate action stories.
