5th International Forum for Sustainable Asia and the Pacific (ISAP2013): Paving the Way for a Sustainable Asia-Pacific – Regional Perspectives on Green Economy

This event is organized by the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and UN University Institute of Advanced Studies (UNU-IAS). In building a green economy, ISAP 2013 will focus on incorporation of sustainability concepts into business practices, local initiatives for smart cities and emerging networks of researchers for low-carbon development. Discussions will be held with diverse stakeholders focusing on sustainable development. Eminent speakers include: Ron Benioff, Co-Director, Low Emissions Development Strategies Global Partnership; Raimund Bleischwitz, Co-Director, Material Flows and Resource Management, Wuppertal Institute; Bindu N. Lohani, Vice President, Knowledge Management and Sustainable Development, Asian Development Bank; Rajendra K. Pachauri, Chair, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC); Masamitsu Sakurai, Executive Advisor, Ricoh Company, Ltd.; Kazuhiko Takeuchi, Senior Vice-Rector, UNU; Kazuhiro Ueta, Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies & Graduate School of Economics, Kyoto University; and Abdul Hamid Zakri, Science Advisor to the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
