54th Session of the UN Commission for Social Development

The 54th session of the UN Commission for Social Development (CSocD 54) will consider the theme 'Rethinking and strengthening social development in the contemporary world'. According to the provisional agenda of the session, the Commission will discuss the follow-up to the 1995 World Summit for Social Development and to the Social Summit+5 held during the 24th special session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in 2000. It will take into account, among other documents, a note from the UN Secretariat on 'Emerging issues: Implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: moving from commitments to results for achieving social development'.
