This meeting is being organised by the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) Secretariat, in collaboration with the Pollution Control Department, Thailand, and the Chulabhorn Research Institute. The meeting aims to review progress and provide guidance on implementation of SAICM, identify regional priorities, exchange experience and share information on activities undertaken at the national and regional levels, review and provide input to the draft document on the Overall Orientation and Guidance to facilitate achievement of the 2020 goal of sound chemicals management, and to consult the region on preparations for the upcoming second meeting of the Open-ended Working Group and the fourth session of the International Conference on Chemicals Management (ICCM4).
