The 36th Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer (MOP 36) will discuss issues related to the implementation of the Montreal Protocol.

The 45th meeting of the Open-ended Working Group of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer (OWEG 45), which will convene in July 2024, will lay the groundwork for decisions to be taken at MOP 36. 

The Earth Negotiations Bulletin (ENB) summary of MOP 35 is here. The report observes that delegates “committed firmly to address threats to both the ozone layer and the global climate, designating a significant portion of funding to bring down global temperatures” through the largest ever replenishment of the Multilateral Fund (MLF).
