This Working Party will bring together representatives from UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Member States and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) to provide guidance and exchange views on five areas of the UNECE/FAO Joint Work Programme: markets and statistics; forest resources assessment; forest sector outlook studies; social and cultural elements; and policy and cross-sectoral elements. A one-day seminar on Innovation in the Forest Sector will take place before the meeting. The seminar will be held in collaboration with InnovaWood, an umbrella organization that supports innovation in European forest, wood-based and furniture industries, and which will hold its annual general assembly in parallel to the Working Party.
