Held under the patronage of Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum, the 25th Africa Energy Forum (AEF) will gather governments and business leaders in the energy sector to identify opportunities, form partnerships, and move the energy industry forward.
Sessions will feature insights from energy ministers and heads of utilities on project pipelines and cover a range of topics, including the pace and scale of renewable energy projects in Africa, capital flows and risk mitigation in energy markets, and regional power markets. New session streams for 2023 focus on: mining, critical minerals, and energy; and Africa’s opportunity in hydrogen.
The Youth Energy Summit (YES!), which aims to boost the connections and skills of a new generation of African energy leaders, will convene alongside the Forum. YES! promotes partnerships to accelerate access to reliable energy across Africa.
