The Committee for Development Policy (CDP) is a subsidiary body of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). It advises ECOSOC on issues that are relevant for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. 

The 2020 CDP Plenary Open Session will address the theme, ‘Development Policy and New Inequalities.’ The discussion of the emergence of new inequalities features three CDP members, Adriana Abdenur, Arunabha Ghosh and José Antonio Ocampo. They will discuss contemporary challenges and opportunities at the intersection between inequalities and climate change, South-South migration and the shortcomings in the current multilateral system.
