The 2024 Innovate4Cities Conference aims to bridge the gap between city climate ambition and tangible action. The event will showcase and share knowledge on cities and climate change science while focusing on four key themes: biodiversity and resilience; digitalization; finance; and multi-level governance and partnerships.

The UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) and the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy will co-host the event with support from a number of groups, including the EU and Bloomberg Philanthropies. The hybrid event will bring together leaders from government, civil society, academia, and the private sector to elevate global trends, foster cross-sectoral partnerships, and consider progress towards urban climate ambition and action.

The Conference will build understanding on the latest scientific climate research, to help inform policies and contribute to key climate processes, including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report for Climate Change and Cities.
