The 2016 Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Annual Event, meeting under the theme ‘Business Partners for Gender Equality: Multipliers for Development,' is being held in observance of International Women's Day. It will bring together business leaders, including female entrepreneurs, with civil society, and UN and government representatives, to scale up business action and unleash the full potential of women and girls. The meeting will include high-level panels and interactive sessions, and will examine how companies around the world are implementing the WEPs and helping to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
