The 2016 Civil Society Forum will take place prior to the the 54th session of the UN Commission for Social Development (CSocD 54). The Forum will focus on inequalities, with a view to contribute to the theme of CSocD 54, 'Rethinking and strengthening social development in the contemporary world'. The Forum will consider the Civil Society Declaration 2016, and will be hosted by the NGO Committee on Social Development (NGOCSocD), along with the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) Division for Social Policy and Development (DSD, and the New York Office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES).
