The IPEN General Assembly will convene just prior to Forum V of the Intergovernmental Forum on Chemical Safety (IFCS), taking place from 23-29 September in Budapest, Hungary. The IPEN Network -of over 400 NGOs in over 70 countries- is entering a new phase of development, and the 2006 IPEN General Assembly will be an important event for the IPEN Network. Topics to be covered during this three-day IPEN General Assembly include: review and report-back since the 2005 IPEN General Assembly; IPEN PO information and experience exchange; Strategic IPEN planning and projects; SAICM awareness-raising and implementation-planning.
