2-11 October 2013 Geneva, Geneve, Switzerland
19th International Conference of Labour Statisticians

The Governing Body of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Secretariat is convening this conference to consider revised draft standards of labor force and work statistics, including a set of measures of labor under-utilization. If adopted, the revised statistical standards will update standards and guidelines established in 1982 for reporting underemployment. The International Conference of Labour Statisticians meets roughly every five years. The Conference promotes good practice in statistical standards and promotes comparability of labor-related data worldwide. Participants include experts from governments, mostly appointed from ministries responsible for labor and national statistical offices, as well as from employers' and workers' organizations. Regional preparatory meetings for this conference took place through 2012 and early 2013. The last International Conference of Labour Statisticians took place in 2007.
