Organized by IUCN-The World Conservation Union, the 18th session of the Global Biodiversity Forum (GBF18-Cancun/WTO5) will be convened prior to the Fifth WTO Ministerial Conference, which will be held from 10-14 September 2003 in Cancun. GBF18 will likely address: the relationship between the TRIPs Agreement and the CBD; risk, precaution and biosecurity; and trade and sustainable livelihoods.
